"Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee for the new millennium." -Michael Ross (Moderne Guitar)
The Sheriffs of Schroedingham are the Los Angeles based americana duo of harmonicist Ross Garren and guitarist and singer John Schroeder. Combining a deep respect for the great masters of American folk music with conservatory honed chops, contemporary electronic production and more than a spit of humor, the Sheriffs have been riding strong ever since a fateful afternoon jam session inspired them to go West seeking a better life and unchartered musical frontiers. Over the last five years they've played shows everywhere from northern Montana bars to the El Rey theater in Los Angeles, released two critically acclaimed records, High Noon and Going to the Sun and put out a plethora of videos spanning many musical styles taking the classic guitar/harmonica duo into the 21st century. With performances alongside Frankie Valli, Steve Miller, Pomplamoose, James Cotton, Charlie Musselwhite, and Mark Hummel in their back pocket, an armory of vintage keyboards, odd guitars, and sundry harmonicas at their disposal, and a carefree "let's play some tunes and forget about this peacekeeping business" attitude, the Sheriffs maintain law and order in the musical wild west.
